Will Redmond

Role:

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Will Redmond comes into 2016 only nine months removed from an ACL tear during his time at Mississippi State. Although selected in the third round, if Redmond is cleared for training camp look for his role to be as a rotational player at the nickel corner position. If Redmond can remain healthy, he will have an opportunity for some playing time.

Depth Chart:

Rotational with the possibility of falling into a backup role if his ACL injury lingers.

Impact:

One to two seasons. Redmond has the athleticism and skills to become a starter in the NFL but, with a serious knee injury, look for a lot more of Redmond in 2017.

Stat Prediction:

Twelve tackles, zero interceptions and two pass breakups.
