With so many holes on both sides of the ball, there are several San Francisco 49ers who must make improvements in the 2016 season for different reasons.

A number of players on the 49ers roster go into the new campaign desperately needing to make an impression in order to salvage their careers with San Francisco.

For others their success in 2016 will be important not only for their individual career prospects but for the success of a team looking to bounce back and compete in the NFC West under Chip Kelly.
