All-Decade TE: Vernon Davis

Current Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis’ tenure with the 49ers might have come to a whimpering halt, as he saw his production decrease dramatically over 2014 and 2015.

But there isn’t any doubt he was one of the biggest offensive weapons the Niners had between 2010 and 2013.

2013 ended up being one of Davis’ finest seasons with the red and gold. He posted 850 receiving yards and tied a career-high mark with 13 touchdown receptions. This was at a time in which Davis’ raw skill set and matchup-nightmare status were on full display.

Sadly, Davis was never able to replicate his 2013 efforts again. Not in 2014, and certainly not last season.

The 49ers traded Davis to the Denver Broncos in the middle of the 2015 season.
