Tight End

Garrett Celek– Kelly had a productive player in Celek’s older brother Brent while in Philadelphia. The team extended Celek during the offseason and he could become the starting tight end.

Blake Bell– The 49ers are experimenting with Bell throughout his transition from quarterback to tight end. He’s athletic and young, that earns him a roster spot.

Rory Anderson– Anderson has hands like a wide receiver and the body of tight end. The 49ers are betting on upside but he looked good in the preseason last year. He’ll primarily be a special-teamer in 2016.

Bruce Miller– Miller has already dealt with one position change. The move to tight end at least keeps him on the same side of the ball. He’s a core player for the team and an unrelenting competitor. He’s already making it clear he deserves a spot.

Note: Send Vance McDonald to the Cincinnati Bengals while their starting tight end Tyler Eifert recovers over the summer. If the Bengals will part with a sixth-round pick, the 49ers shouldn’t think twice.

Starter: Garrett Celek, although you could convince me that Miller sees the most playing time.
