Who: Carolina Panthers

Where: Bank of America Stadium

The first road trip of the season starts in Carolina.

The Panthers are one of the best teams in the NFL, and that hasn’t changed since coming up short in Super Bowl 50 as reigning NFL MVP, Cam Newton looks to repeat last seasons performance. This match-up doesn’t bode well for the 49ers.

Key Matchup: Cam Newton vs. 49ers Secondary

Watch for Newton to try and test the 49ers secondary early and often. The Panthers wide receiving core will be completely healthy and looking to make big plays on every snap.
