The 2016 NFL Draft is in the books, and the hopes and prayers of San Francisco 49ers fans everywhere point to the franchise trending upwards for all the right reasons.

San Francisco is coming off a 5-11 campaign last year, has a new head coach in Chip Kelly and will be looking to get the most out of a roster still reeling from the en masse departures that took place a season ago.

To put it simply, the 49ers are right in the middle of a full-blown rebuilding effort. To his credit, general manager Trent Baalke has focused his efforts on constructing this roster from the ground up. Youth has been a major theme, and the Niners’ recent 11 draft selections will hopefully go a long way in turning things around in Santa Clara.

Regardless of whatever perceived plans may be in place, the 49ers are still a team with plenty of question marks. And ones needing answers in short order.

What’s the quarterback situation? Will Colin Kaepernick or Blaine Gabbert stand out to get the nod under center in Week 1? How will new rookies fit into the equation? Are there too many cornerbacks on the roster?

These questions, and more, will be at the heart of San Francisco’s offseason plans.

So let’s take a look.
