Aaron Burbridge, WR, Michigan State
While many expected Baalke to do it sooner, the 49ers addressed the wide receiver position with the final pick in the sixth round.
Aaron Burbridge is a jack of all trades but a master of none.
Burbridge is also a large part of the why Connor Cook was considered an upper echelon quarterback, consistently bailing out his signal-caller with outstanding catches in traffic.

However, part of the reason Burbridge’s catches are in traffic is due to his lack of separation, despite 4.4 speed.
Dane Brugler of CBS Sports expands on Aaron’s strengths and limitations:
"Burbridge isn’t a speed demon and lacks the explosive traits to easily generate separation, but he makes himself available at all times in his routes and doesn’t need spacing from defenders to be an effective pass-catcher. While he has his limitations, Burbridge projects as a reliable possession target due to his competitive ball-skills and timing in traffic."
While unspectacular, Aaron Burbridge is a solid receiver who will provide quality depth with the possibility of becoming a reliable second or third option for the 49ers receiving corps.
Projection: Competitive Depth
Next: Prince Charles Iworah
