The 49ers have 12 picks in the 2016 NFL Draft as Trent Baalke looks to rebuild their roster. Here we break down how San Francisco’s GM can make the most of those selections with a complete mock draft.

How to solve a problem like the 49ers talent-deficient roster?

That’s the question Trent Baalke will have to answer in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he has 12 picks to try to improve a team that was one of the worst in the league last season.

With Colin Kaepernick seemingly keen to be traded elsewhere and Blaine Gabbert looking like nothing more than a stop-gap option, there is pressure on Baalke to find a quarterback who can be the long-term answer under center.

But the Los Angeles Rams’ trade up to the No. 1 spot may well have scuppered any plans San Francisco could have had to take Jared Goff or Carson Wentz, meaning Baalke might be inclined to take the best player available.

How will Baalke address the 49ers’ many needs in the draft? Here we take a guess with a complete mock draft.
