Cornerback: Jeremy Lane, Seattle Seahawks

While this is another position where it would be worth backing up the proverbial Brinks truck if Josh Norman hits the open market, a cheaper option to shore up depth would be a member of the Legion of Boom.

Jeremy Lane had a bit of a slow start last year thanks to a knee injury he suffered in the Super Bowl the year prior. He picked up his play as he recovered, though, and however, Seattle has 19 unrestricted free agents and not a ton of space to work with, so Lane probably will be let go. He can play both in the slot and outside, and he’s young—he’ll only be 26 next season.

It was his injury in the Super Bowl that really sparked New England’s offense. It was his return, and replacing Cary Williams, which really coincided with Seattle’s defensive revival in 2015. I don’t believe these are coincidences, and I think he’d be a good fit in San Francisco’s secondary.
