No. 28: Kansas City Chiefs

2015 Record: 11-5

The Pick: DE Sheldon Rankins, Louisville

The Kansas City Chiefs may be looking to move on from former No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher, who has had his fair share of struggles at left tackle. But there isn’t exactly a lot of value for the Chiefs to address this position at No. 28.

Instead, the Chiefs get stronger along their defensive front.

With AFC West teams leaning towards more run-heavy offenses — especially if Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning calls it quits after this season — loading up on a good run-stopper like Louisville defensive end Sheldon Rankins would be a good move.

Rankins would add immediate depth and could work his way into a starting spot not far down the road.
