The 2016 NFL draft is fast approaching, and prospects around the country will be on all 32 teams’ watch lists leading up to draft day. While the San Francisco 49ers hold the No. 7 pick, how will the rest of Round 1 shape up? Niner Noise takes a look in this first-round mock.

The 2016 NFL draft, to be held from April 28 through April 30, will be a chance for all 32 teams to stockpile collegiate talent and find the next group of stars and contributors looking to take their talents to the next level.

The draft itself is one of the more exciting parts of the year-round NFL schedule and, aside from the Super Bowl, perhaps the most noteworthy and attention-grabbing moment on the league’s calendar.

There are risers, fallers, surprises and busts. Good picks are offset by bad ones. And the proverbial “diamond in the rough” picks are always out there. Such is the nature of the NFL draft. And so the stage is set for what will happen in 2016.

The San Francisco 49ers currently own the seventh-overall pick in the draft. This is the highest pick the 49ers have owned since 2011 when the team drafted linebacker Aldon Smith at No. 7 in Round 1.

San Francisco, not unlike a number of other teams, has a plethora of needs.

But let’s keep our focus on the first round for now. And how will the rest of the draft shape up?

Niner Noise presents a full first-round mock for all 32 teams with needs, picks and analysis for each franchise.
