The 2016 Senior Bowl will provide the San Francisco 49ers some additional information on a number of prospects coming out in the upcoming NFL draft. With the Niners needing all the help they can get this offseason, which five should top off on San Francisco’s radar?

The San Francisco 49ers have a lot of positional needs heading into the offseason and, armed with upwards of 12 picks for the upcoming NFL draft, the Niners’ scouts will be paying close attention to a number of participants in the 2016 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

The roster, listed by the game’s official website, features a number of well-known players along with prospects aiming to prove themselves in advance of the NFL Scouting Combine and the draft itself.

Both the North and South teams have already started practice for the game, which will take place on Saturday, January 30 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

And there are more than a few players the 49ers should be eyeballing during the contest.

While it would be impossible to speculate exactly how many prospects San Francisco’s scouts are paying attention to, it is feasible to narrow the number down to the top five players that should be on the Niners’ radar.

So, without any further delay, let’s take a look at these five candidates for the draft and why the 49ers should be paying attention.
