Running Back Shaun Draughn (UFA)
2015 Cap Hit: $349,411
Running back Shaun Draughn has been a nice change-of-pace back for the 49ers offense after it lost featured back Carlos Hyde (foot) for the rest of the season.
A knee injury sidelined Draughn in Week 15, and it looks as if he’ll miss the remainder of 2015.
Draughn does provide a different look for San Francisco’s ground game and would be a nice complementary piece for the running game alongside Hyde.
He’ll also come on the cheap, which will help the 49ers save additional cash and avoid the free-agent expenditure on a player like veteran running back Reggie Bush (we’ll get to him in a bit).
Look for the 49ers to retain Draughn this offseason.
Decision: Keep
