Running Back Reggie Bush (UFA)

At 30 years old, veteran running back Reggie Bush was an injury concern already when he signed with the 49ers last offseason.

And those worries proved true when he was lost to a knee injury in Week 8. Oh, and a calf injury also limited Bush to just five games in 2015 overall.

Bush was supposed to be a complementary piece to the 49ers passing game out of the backfield. But he never saw regular action, and his injury woes continued to hamper any type of production he might have been capable of showing on the field.

There isn’t any reason to keep him in San Francisco next year.
