Ian Williams has been one of the better defensive tackles along San Francisco’s defensive line this season. Primarily featured as a run-stopper, Williams has registered 44 tackles and one sack on the year and remains one of the 49ers’ best performers, according to Pro Football Focus.

Williams recently stated, via Chris Biderman of Scout.com, he would like to stay in San Francisco after this season.
And the 49ers need to reach for this hope. With so many needs across the board, San Francisco can’t afford to let one of its better defenders walk via free agency.
