The San Francisco 49ers have a total of 14 pending free agents who could depart the team during the 2016 offseason. Niner Noise takes a look at who should be re-signed and who should be let go.

The 2015 NFL season is coming to a close for the San Francisco 49ers, and the franchise will have to address its next order of business in determining the roster for the upcoming 2016 season.

According to Spotrac, the 49ers have 14 players in a contract year this season.

A number of these players are unrestricted free agents, which means these players can sign with any team at any point after 12 p.m. ET on February 9. Restricted free agents and exclusive-rights free agents are a little more complicated but, without getting into too much detail, teams owning those contracts have more negotiating room and retaining powers than unrestricted free agents.
