The 49ers traded with the Broncos for their number 4 pick in the second round.  The 49ers also  gave up their fourth and fifth round picks.  With the Bengals selecting quarterback Andy Dalton the 49ers knew they could not wait around until they picked at number 13.  The 49ers selected Nevada’s QB Colin Kaepernick. The 49ers seventh pick in the draft was not a stunner selection if you had them picking a player out of Missouri.  Problem is you probably had quarterback Blaine Gabbert penciled in as the selection and not defensive lineman Aldon Smith.  Even though I was against the 49ers picking a quarterback that high I thought general manager Trent Baalke and coach Jim Harbaugh would go with Gabbert.  It is a good thing the 49ers brass decided against selecting a quarterback but was Smith the best defensive player they could have drafted? With the NFL draft on Thursday the Niner Noise writers present what the 49ers should do with their first pick in the draft at the seventh slot.  With so many needs on both offense and defense it is tough to predict how the 49ers will draft with the first pick.  Making things more complicated is the 2011 NFL season may or may not begin on Thursday morning which would cause general manager Trent Baalke and Jim Harbaugh to reevaluate their draft strategy.   Either way here is how we think the 49ers will draft:
