4 quarterbacks drafted before Brock Purdy who have already flamed out

No. 2: Matt Corral (Ole Miss)
Top-drafted quarterbacks frequently find themselves going to bad franchises undergoing a rebuild.
In Matt Corral's case, he wasn't a top-drafted QB but found himself going to the Carolina Panthers, who traded up to grab him in Round 3 while also trying to completely overhaul what has turned into a downtrodden franchise.
If Corral had gone to any number of different teams, his chances for success might have been greater. And if he had avoided a redshirt rookie season in which he spent all of 2022 on injured reserve, his hopes for a bigger role in 2023 would have been better.
Instead, after the Panthers drafted Bryce Young toward the very top of the 2023 draft, Corral was ultimately waived.
He enjoyed a cup of coffee with the New England Patriots, but Corral remains a mostly undesirable free agent.
