Even 49ers, Chiefs' defenses look different... kind of

The Chiefs no longer have safety Tyrann Mathieu or defensive tackle Terrell Suggs among their ranks. Nor do they have cornerback Charvarius Ward.

However, he will still be playing in this year's Super Bowl... for San Francisco.

Ward tied for fourth in the league with five interceptions and ranked first with 23 pass deflections this year. He has been a perennial piece for the 49ers' secondary since defensive backs Richard Sherman and JimmieWard are no longer there, and those two both played in the Super Bowl for for the Niners the last time.

Both quarterbacks were picked off twice in Super Bowl 54. Linebacker Fred Warner is still wearing the 49ers' colors, and he was responsible for one of the picks thrown by Patrick Mahomes to go with his seven tackles and a pass deflection in that particular game

The 49ers defense has made top marks in the league in forcing turnovers.

They could potentially do the same on Feb. 11.
