Never change, Harbs.

Jim Harbaugh is a unique character, and the former 49ers head coach now has a unique residence at his new role with the Chargers.

It's funny just how big of a cult exists surrounding former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, who helped turn around a downtrodden franchise back in 2011 into a perennial Super Bowl contender until his "mutual" parting of ways with the organization in early 2015.

Nearly 10 years later, Harbaugh is still a Niners fan-favorite, and his NCAA championship with the University of Michigan following the 2023 season pulled many who root for San Francisco into the realm of also rooting for the Wolverines.

Somewhat inevitably, that translated into Harbaugh going back to the NFL ranks, assuming the role of Los Angeles Chargers head coach heading into 2024.

Moving from Ann Arbor, Michigan, out to Southern California is no easy task, but Harbaugh relished the opportunity.

And he's doing it in the most Harbaugh-ish kind of way.

Jim Harbaugh is living in an RV after moving to Los Angeles

Finding a suitable residence in the greater Los Angeles area is no easy task, even for a multi-millionaire like Harbaugh.

In the interim, Harbaugh is living in a recreational vehicle, one that's parked right next to his longtime offensive coordinator with the 49ers, Greg Roman, who is also assuming the same role with the Bolts this season.

From Harbaugh, courtesy of Kyle Meinke of Mlive.com:

"It’s been great. Just being myself. I always wanted to do that (and live in an RV). It worked out great. I’m 100 feet from Greg Roman, who has a really, really good RV."

According to the report, Harbaugh wanted to do something like this for a long time and mentioned doing so not long after LA hired him to be its coach after firing now-Niners defensive assistant Brandon Staley in the middle of last season.

That said, Harbaugh's days as an RV vagabond are soon coming to a close, as he pointed out:

"Now that’s coming to an end, happily coming to an end because my family is coming to California. They’re all here on this trip, and we’re all going to California together. We’ll be moving into our rental house, and that’s even better."

While Harbaugh in an RV might not catch on as much as his khakis or sideline antics, it certainly helps fuel his never-ending cult of personality.

Don't change, coach. Don't change.
