After San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy had a great 2023 season in which he was an MVP finalist and nearly won a Super Bowl, brands are eager to latch onto him.

That is the case with his latest commercial where he embraces his farm boy roots.

The commercial in question is for Pioneer Corn.

That’s right, the good ole Iowa boy is doing an advertisement for his former state’s greatest export.

Take a look at the commercial below:

Man, if that doesn’t make you want to go out and get yourself a nice bag of corn seed and eat corn for breakfast, lunch, and dinner then you probably don’t have a pulse.

Purdy is connected to corn given the fact that he went to Iowa State, and his wife and her family are from the state of Iowa.

This is not the first time that Purdy has leaned into his farm-boy roots. Last season during the bye week, he drove a tractor around in Iowa to clear his mind after the team’s three-game losing streak.

Perhaps corn has a sort of soothing influence on Purdy. If he has any struggles, all he has to do is take a ride on the tractor to get his mind back on track.

This partnership does make sense because it fits into Purdy’s image as a humble, small-town kid who kind of came from the middle of nowhere to become one of the more intriguing stories in the NFL.

Plus, Hall of Famer Steve Young has compared Purdy to Star Wars character Luke Skywalker several times. Skywalker himself was a humble farm-boy before achieving greatness.

It is also not his first commercial. He has appeared in Toyota commercials, as well as Alaska Airlines commercials.

If Purdy keeps up his stellar play, then the endorsement deals will surely keep rolling in.

Who knows? Next season, he may even land himself a deal with a mulch company.
