It only took two weeks of dominant play for oddsmakers to finally believe in Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers.

After Purdy lit the league up in the second half of the 2022 season, taking the 49ers to the NFC title game, San Francisco came into the 2023 season with rather modest odds (+1000) to win the Super Bowl considering the team’s recent success.

In just two weeks, that has all changed.

Following San Francisco’s win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, the team has moved to +650 to win the Super Bowl at DraftKings Sportsbook, ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs (+700) and Philadelphia Eagles (+700).

Can San Fran hold this pace for the whole season? It’s quite possible given the team’s plethora of offensive weapons around Purdy. That’s not even mentioning the 49ers’ elite defense.

No matter how you plan on betting on the futures market, you can come out a winner at DraftKings Sportsbook.

San Francisco 49ers are now the Super Bowl favorites

49ers fans have to love that their team is now the favorite to win the Super Bowl, especially since San Francisco has been so close to bringing home the Lombardi Trophy in recent seasons.

The 49ers have three NFC title game appearances and one Super Bowl appearance since the 2019 season. There are very few teams that can say they’ve had that much success over the past four years.

Still, Kyle Shanahan’s group is in search of that elusive Super Bowl ring, and it may have the team to get it done in 2023.

Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Brandon Aiyuk make up arguably the league’s best group of skill players, and Purdy continues to look more and more like a franchise quarterback – not the seventh-round pick that he was in the 2022 NFL Draft.

With the NFC looking a little weak this season outside of the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys (who will cannibalize themselves in their own division), San Fran has a pretty nice path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

There’s a good chance that these odds continue to climb for the 49ers as the season progresses.
