49ers should be scared after these 4 draft picks landed in NFC West
Seattle Seahawks
It's always annoying when a potential steal falls into the laps of a rival, and Byron Murphy is certainly someone that applies in this situation.
Murphy was someone who could have been picked as high as No. 9 by the Chicago Bears without any complaints whatsoever, and he looks to be a very dangerous player for the 49ers to be facing twice a year after slipping to the Seattle Seahawks.
The best defensive tackle in the draft, Murphy is an explosive interior pass-rusher with a wicked quick first step who can quickly cause havoc in many backfields sooner rather than later. Because he's shorter and smaller than a normal defensive tackle at 6-foot-0 and 297 pounds, he's very difficult to block as he gets strong leverage by getting under them.
Murphy is a talent, and the Seahawks are definitely upgrading their pass rush which is something they’ve needed to do for a while as they've lost step with the Niners in the NFC West race in recent seasons.
