49ers option No. 5: Niners go through the NFL Draft
It's not like San Francisco has not found quarterback gems in late rounds (especially the seventh) before.
One potential draft prospect is Southern Alabama's Carter Bradley.
He's 6-foot-3' and 216 pounds with solid numbers. Bradley's completion percentage, yards per attempt and passer rating all improved each of the three years he played.
Bradley wrapped up his senior year nicely for the Jaguars as he threw for 2,650 yards in just 11 games. He threw for 19 touchdowns against just seven picks.
If the 49ers don't find a veteran to add behind Purdy, they may use its sixth- or seventh-round pick, (they have two here).
At least the Niners have affordable options and upside to the quarterback depth chart for 2024.
