2023 NFL Draft: Still-available prospects 49ers desperately hope slip

No. 1: 49ers can hope EDGE Derick Hall continues to fall
The Niners are either hoping second-year EDGE Drake Jackson takes a massive leap, or they’re hoping one of two castoffs, Clelin Ferrell or Austin Bryant, turn their pass-rushing woes around in a new setting with San Francisco.
Either way, the 49ers need a quality No. 2 option to pair with the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa.
Pass-rushers, especially the good ones, rarely slip in the NFL Draft. And Auburn’s Derick Hall is easily the best remaining one available after Round 1.

That all but assures some team will be looking at grabbing him within the first 10 picks or so, meaning a team like the Niners would have to move up from No. 99 overall to even have a chance of nabbing the explosive athlete who ran a 4.55 40-yard time at the combine.
However, if Hall falls for one reason or another, such a move-up could end up being far less costly and much more beneficial to San Francisco.
Day two of the 2023 NFL Draft kicks off on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m. ET.
