On the clock: Pick No. 13: Green Bay Packers, Peter Skoronski, Offensive Tackle, Northwestern

Mock Draft 1.0: Paris Johnson, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State (New York Jets)
Mock Draft 2.0: Paris Johnson, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State (New York Jets)

The Green Bay Packers finally traded quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and even managed to move up in the first round thanks to the Jets desperation to acquire him. What they do with this pick is up for debate, but they need new quarterback Jordan Love to succeed.

The Packers need a new tackle so Elgton Jenkins can return to guard, but Peter Skoronski could play either position depending on how they view the offensive line. His versatility, his technique and his performance at the NFL Combine should make him a strong candidate to be a top-10 pick.

Skoronski may have questions on length, but there’s no doubt that he’s got an excellent technique for the next level. His hips are fluid and he has excellent footwork. With his lateral mobility and timing, he gets to the punch first which nullifies any potential drawback with his arms.

The Packers will be desperate to remain relevant in a suddenly very competitive NFC North. Keeping Love upright will be essential.
