49ers NFL Draft sleeper target No. 4: EDGE Viliami Fehoko, San Jose State

From one unassuming edge rusher to another, albeit a little closer to home, San Jose State EDGE Viliami Fehoko could be a quality sleeper pick in Round 5 (or later) of this year’s NFL Draft.

Fehoko, 6-foot-4 and 276 pounds, finished his collegiate tenure last year with a career-best nine sacks and also managed to tack on 19 tackles for a loss in the process. And he’s not a liability against the run either, meaning he could be a three-down player with little trouble whatsoever.

Granted, Fehoko isn’t going to win with explosiveness, bend or sheer power.

That said, the production has been both consistent and reliable, and a team like San Francisco that already invited him to its local pro day would love nothing more than to get a quality edge rusher who could provide some pass-rushing thump out of the later rounds.

It looks as if Fehoko could offer that and much more.
