No. 3: Tavius Robinson is the highest-ranked defensive lineman in Canada

Guelph, Ontario’s own Tavius Robinson might not even think about a career in the CFL. The defensive lineman had a pretty solid NFL Combine.

From the NFL Next Gen Stats Robinson’s overall score was 69, which leaves room for improvement. He posted a 4.66 40-yard dash, 33.5” vertical jump, and logged 23 bench press reps.

Pros

Here are some strengths Robinson has shown, from NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein:

"“Long, rangy frame with room for more muscle mass. Disruptive lateral quickness and agility. Bends to keep pad level steady at point of attack.”"

Currently, the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL are sitting in a position where Robinson can be available. However, it may just be for his rights, as there’s a good chance he’s either drafted in round six or seven or signed as an undrafted free agent.

Cons

Zierlein also noted some opportunities for Robinson:

"Upfield burst as outside rusher is average. Rush dries up once tackle latches into him. Needs better counter quickness in his hands."

Based on the breakdown of Robinson, it seems likely he tries the NFL for a bit before heading to Canada (or the XFL or USFL), to hone his craft a bit more.

He’d be a great addition to the 49ers’ defensive line, though, alongside EDGE Nick Bosa.
