No. 2 free agent 49ers must avoid: WR Robert Woods

The Titans have a number of now-former or soon-to-be former players the Niners should absolutely avoid in NFL free agency.

Interesting, as Tennessee’s new general manager is Ran Carthon, who just left from San Francisco’s own front office this offseason.

Carthon just revealed a valuable lesson to the 49ers, and it’s the fact that wide receiver Robert Woods doesn’t need to be on the Niners’ radar after the Titans parted ways with him not long ago.

Sure, Woods used to be a preferred Los Angeles Rams offensive weapon, so he knows a Kyle Shanahan-like offense. Woods is versatile, can line up in the slot or outside, and he is a willing blocker.

But, San Francisco already has a weapon like that in wide receiver Jauan Jennings, who’ll be exceptionally cheaper and will occupy the same role in Shanahan’s offense behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.
