49ers NFL Scouting Combine: QB Brock Purdy (2022)
At one point, it wouldn’t have been crazy to view quarterback Brock Purdy as a potential first-round NFL Draft pick.
However, Purdy’s senior season at Iowa State wasn’t great, and the quarterback ended up slipping all the way down to the final selection.
Literally, Mr. Irrelevant.
- 40-yard dash: 4.84 seconds
- Vertical jump: 27 inches
- 3-cone drill: 7.21 seconds
- 20-yard shuttle: 4.45 seconds
Not known for having a cannon of an arm, and testing somewhat lower than expected levels, Purdy’s fall in the 2022 NFL Draft ended up working out for the Niners anyway, as he became quite the rookie-year phenom down the stretch of that season.
