Elijah Mitchell, Deebo Samuel look fit and ready to go

The offense has been humming along very nicely with Brock Purdy at the helm, and it finally was up to full strength with the return of wide receiver Deebo Samuel and running back Elijah Mitchell.

Deebo didn’t have a huge impact in the game with only two receptions for 20 yards and a single carry for four yards, but he looked like precisely the kind of impact player he was before the injury and that he can be called upon in the playoffs for no risk.

Mitchell had a much more impactful game, with five carries for 55 yards and two touchdowns for the game. Arizona had no answers for him when he had the ball and while he didn’t have it often, he looked like precisely the kind of player that had a breakout rookie season last year.

The 49ers now have a full receiver room, and the two-headed rushing attack with Mitchell and Christian McCaffrey looks set to break open the playoffs. The defense remains the biggest weapon that San Francisco have to get their sixth Lombardi trophy, but the offense is more than capable of winning games on their own now.

If push comes to shove and the 49ers take on a team that they need to have a shootout with, this could be the first time in a while that fans can be confident that the team’s got what it takes.
