49ers vs. Cardinals bold prediction No. 2: Arizona will cover the spread

The Niners opened up as seven-point “road” favorites for this neutral-site game, and the line has since increased modestly to them being an eight-point favorite now, according to the oddsmakers over at WynnBET.

However, most San Francisco fans can recall just how big a pest head coach Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals have been in recent season, having won three of their last four over the 49ers and sweeping the season series in 2021.

On top of that, as broken down by BetSided’s Ben Heisler, Kingsbury has done surprisingly well when listed as a home underdog over his coaching career:

"Over his career, via ESPN Stats & Info, Kingsbury is the only coach in the history of the league since the start of the Super Bowl to have an outright winning record as an underdog, and a losing record when his team is favored. He’s also been fairly successful against the 49ers in his career, going 7-1-1 [against the spread] against the Niners in his last nine games."

The Niners may wind up winning this game, but it wouldn’t be shocking whatsoever if the Cardinals end up covering.

Look for that to be the case here.
