No. 3: Brandon Aiyuk makes his first Pro Bowl

Finally, if Brandon Aiyuk truly does make the leap and put together an elite season, it would come as no surprise if he makes the 2022 Pro Bowl.

Of course, ideally, he’s unavailable to play because he’s preparing for the Super Bowl, but still.

Last season, the NFC’s four Pro Bowl receivers were Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, DeAndre Hopkins, and D.K. Metcalf.

Metcalf, specifically, finished the season with 967 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. That’s only 141 more receiving yards than Aiyuk had last year in the “doghouse” season.

This year, coming off of a much-improved offseason and in a passing attack that may be more suited to his strengths, it seems perfectly reasonable to expect Aiyuk to add those 141 yards, if not many more to his stats.

Of course, Aiyuk will likely need to add to his five touchdowns from last year as well to make the Pro Bowl, but that also seems very possible. As the Niners’ offense shifts to more of a passing attack with Trey Lance, it is likely the number of receiving touchdowns increases, adding to Aiyuk’s.

With a few more touchdowns and receiving yards under his belt, a Pro Bowl appearance could be well within the reasonable outcomes for Aiyuk, and he may just add to his own trophy case after giving you that fantasy championship.

Aiyuk is in line for a huge 2022 season, now that he finds himself in Kyle Shanahan and Trey Lance’s good graces. If the receiver makes a huge leap forward, he may just outperform Deebo Samuel, win fantasy players their championships, and add a Pro Bowl Appearance to his résumé.
