Fantasy football bounce-back player No. 1: Allen Robinson, Rams

In Jerry Jeudy’s case, he was fortunate enough to have a new quarterback (and new head coach, Nathaniel Hackett) come to him.

For veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson, he went and found his new quarterback and head coach, joining the Super Bowl-champion Los Angeles Rams via free agency.

Imagine having to hope then-Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky gets the ball to you within an inept offense under no-longer-head coach Matt Nagy, then hoping 2021 rookie quarterback Justin Fields, amid his own maturation challenges, somehow makes you the No. 1 target.

Enough of all that, and that’s golden news for fantasy football owners who should be looking at Robinson’s prowess in Rams head coach Sean McVay’s dynamic offense with a gunslinger at quarterback, Matthew Stafford.

Fantasy owners can forget Robinson’s 2021 stat line of 38 catches for 410 yards and a touchdown over 12 games played. With him essentially taking on the roles of two former Rams wideouts, Odell Beckham Jr. and Robert Woods, there should be no shortage of opportunities available for Robinson, provided he stays healthy.

Given the nature of LA’s offense and the context in which he now finds himself, Robinson is easily a top player who can capitalize on a massive bounce-back fantasy football campaign.
