The 49ers have a widespread fanbase that stretches across the globe, and these 10 celebrities have long embraced the red and gold.

It’s good to be a San Francisco 49ers fan. The Niners are a historic franchise, one of the NFL’s marquee groups and draw fans from all over the world.

Not every NFL team can say that. And certainly not without the same attention San Francisco receives.

Yes, owners of five Lombardi Trophies will help. But all those 49ers accolades and legendary players over the years have created quite the legendary fanbase, too.

Every team in the league can count upon some recognizable celebrity fans in its fanbase, and there are a lot of other marquee franchises that have well-known personas donning their gear and cheering them on for game day.

We don’t care about them, though. We only care about the Faithful.

So, let’s have a little bit of fun and take a look at some of the exceptionally well-known Niners fans out there.

Massive 49ers fan No. 10: E-40

OK, so you actually probably did know the exceptional Bay Area rapper, E-40, was a huge San Francisco fan.

And not just the San Francisco 49ers, all San Francisco teams.

He’s regularly in attendance for the Niners’ neighboring Bay Area sports franchises, too, including the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors. Simply put, E-40 has become quite the representative of all things Bay Area sports.

Lest we forget, though, he’s the one rapping in “Bang, Bang Niner Gang,” and you certainly have heard that by now, right?

Yeah, you bumped your head a little bit right there. We know it. It’s OK. We did, too.

Massive 49ers fan No. 9: Huey Lewis

From one music icon to another, we have to go back a little way for this one, and the older generations of 49ers fans will certainly appreciate it.

Rock and roll icons Huey Lewis and the News were as big as it got during the 1980s, and it doesn’t take a Niners historian to recall the fact that was the decade of dominance for all things red and gold.

While Lewis is originally from New York, he relocated to the Bay Area when he was young and quickly embraced San Francisco as his own.

But his fandom certainly didn’t stop there.

In case you missed the hit documentary, Joe Montana: Cool Under Pressure, you might not know the fact the 49ers essentially adopted Lewis as a member of their own. Not only did Montana make cameo vocal appearances on Huey Lewis and the News’ hit song, “I Know What I Want,” but Montana, legendary wide receiver Dwight Clark and others also became part of the band, too.

Seriously, check it out:

If Huey Lewis and the News dominated the charts in the 1980s, and the Niners were the team of that decade, it’s impossible to not include the band on this list.

Scott Eastwood

Massive 49ers fan No. 8: Scott Eastwood

Alright, so you might be a little more familiar with actor and model Scott Eastwood’s famous father, Clint Eastwood. But Scott once told The Rich Eisen Show his dad’s loyalty between San Francisco and the then-Oakland Raiders has gone back and forth.

In fairness to Clint, he was originally from the East Bay, so we’ll give him a pass on that one.

Meanwhile, Scott doesn’t divide his loyalties. He’s a 49ers fan through and through.

Leading up to Super Bowl LIV when the Niners were squaring off against the Kansas City Chiefs, the younger Eastwood sure made a good party out of it, apparently chartering a yacht down in Miami:

Not a bad gig.

And he’s certainly not the only notable San Francisco fan celebrity who makes his loyalties well known.

Massive 49ers fan No. 7: Rob Schneider

Much like E-40, there’s no shortage of Bay Area loyalties from actor and comedian Rob Schneider, who can regularly be seen attending both 49ers and Giants games throughout the calendar year.

Alright, so it’s one thing to be in plain view donning Bay Area sports teams’ apparel, and Schneider never hesitates to do that.

But where things get a little more interesting is back when the Niners were going through some awfully bad doldrums in 2015 and 2016.

It’s anyone’s guess how serious he was, but Schneider was openly pitching to CEO Jed York and family to sell the team to his own group, a move that would precede naming Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young as general manager to spark what was a necessary rebuild:

“If Yorks sell @49ers to our group, our first move would be to make Steve Young General Manager of football operations. @CBSSportsRadio,” Schneider once posted on Twitter in a since-deleted tweet.

The Yorks elected to go with general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan instead, though, and that ultimately worked out well enough.

Schneider should nevertheless be pleased.

Massive 49ers fan No. 6: Marisa Miller

It’s not surprising to see so many Bay Area celebrities grow up to become Niners fans, and Victoria’s Secret supermodel Marisa Miller proudly counts herself among the Faithful.

OK, so she’s been seen in other teams’ apparel and jerseys from time to time, but that hasn’t erased her fandom.

She’s a die-hard San Francisco fan, through and through, and she once told NFL.com how she grew up in nearby Santa Cruz, California, and bonded with her father over all things 49ers:

"I’m from Santa Cruz in Northern California and the 49ers were my dad and I’s bonding time. We would go to games in the ’80s. It was a good time to fall in love with football when your team was unstoppable."

Yes, that was a great time to be a Niners fan. Any of us who were alive in the 1980s and 1990s can attest to that.

And we’re proud to list Miller among our ranks, too.

Massive 49ers fan No. 5: Tyler Rich

The Bay Area (and Northern California in general) is home to plenty of famous musical acts, and there’s been no shortage of notable celebrity performers who have aligned themselves with San Francisco’s own NFL squad.

Including country singer Tyler Rich, who hails from Yuba City outside of Sacramento, California.

Of note, the 49ers once had a practice facility not far away in Rocklin, California.

At any rate, there’s no mistaking Rich’s fandom for the Niners, as he ended up being featured in this team-sponsored video below:

It might take some coercing. But we might have to get Rich to collaborate with E-40 on a new song about all things red and gold. That’d be something, wouldn’t it?

Dana Carvey

Massive 49ers fan No. 4: Dana Carvey

If you grew up watching Saturday Night Live during the 1980s and 1990s, you have been fully immersed in actor and comedian Dana Carvey’s performances.

Heck, you probably watched the hit movie, Wayne’s World, with Carvey playing Wayne’s faithful companion, Garth.

Epic, right?

Carvey might not be overly out there, at least in terms of his San Francisco fandom, but he isn’t afraid to brag about his team either. Case in point, he didn’t hesitate to show off his 49ers gear in this Twitter post back from 2014:

Carvey’s jacket almost reminds us of those classic jackets the team featured back in the early 1990s, too, back when the actor was at his peak.

Where did you get that jacket anyway, Dana? We need to get our hands on one.

Bella Thorne

Massive 49ers fan No. 3: Bella Thorne

There are plenty of Niners fans out there who aren’t from the Bay Area or even California, and we’d be remiss to overlook actress, singer and model Bella Thorne, who achieved fame with her first singing single, “Watch Me,” which was released in 2010.

Aside from rocking it on television and in the recording studio, Thorne is a notable San Francisco fan, too, who didn’t let the 49ers’ early deficit against the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII get her down:

Apparently, her favorite Niners alumnus is legendary running back Frank Gore.

That’ll certainly endear her to many a San Francisco fan, as we’re all fans of those who adore Gore in one way or another.

Hopefully, at some point, the 49ers can give Thorne a reason to have stuck by the team through all that heartache from a devastating Super Bowl loss.

Jeremy Renner

Massive 49ers fan No. 2: Jeremy Renner

Actor Jeremy Renner has sure made his presence known in recent years, especially after being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor, stemming from his performance in the 2008 blockbuster hit, The Hurt Locker.

His portrayal of Hawkeye in the Marvel’s Avenger series probably endeared him to an entirely new group of fans, too.

And what those fans need to know is Renner is an unapologetic Niners fan through and through.

It makes sense. Renner is also from Northern California and has been a San Francisco fan all his life. That fandom actually led to him making an appearance on NFL Network’s show, A Tale of Two Cities, which chronicled the 49ers’ longtime rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys.

Good to know Renner is on the right side of that rivalry.

Massive 49ers fan No. 1: Tom Brady

OK, you know we had to go here.

Yes, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady probably isn’t openly rooting for the Niners these days, and he surely won’t be doing so at least until he retires.

And while there have been reports he dropped his San Francisco fandom as soon as his boyhood team passed on him in the 2000 NFL Draft, it’s hard to ignore the little nuggets out there that pull him back to being a fan of the red and gold.

Even posting a boyhood picture of himself from the 49ers’ legendary victory over the Cowboys in the 1982 NFC Championship game at Candlestick Park:

Going back to Brady’s memories from Candlestick, he was another one of those notables regularly featured in the Joe Montana: Cool Under Pressure documentary.

While we can fairly question whether or not Brady still has loyalty to the Niners to this day, it’s hard to ignore how glowing he gets when talking about his idol, Joe Montana, in that particular film.

Either way, growing up close to San Francisco in nearby San Mateo, California, Brady was immersed in all things 49ers during the 1980s. It left an indelible mark on him that ultimately changed the landscape of the NFL forever.

Guess that counts to put him on this list, too.
