What picks do 49ers have in 2022 NFL Draft?

Thanks to last year’s trade-up for Trey Lance, San Francisco is without a first-round selection in this year’s NFL Draft, as well as the 2023 draft, too. It also sent off a third-round compensatory selection to the Miami Dolphins as part of last year’s trade-up as well.

Nevertheless, the 49ers have a total of nine picks in this year’s draft, five of which fall on day three (Rounds 4 through 7):

  1. Round 2, No. 61 overall
  2. Round 3, No. 93 overall
  3. Round 3, No. 105 overall (compensatory)
  4. Round 4, No. 134 overall
  5. Round 5, No. 172 overall
  6. Round 6, No. 187 overall (from Broncos)
  7. Round 6, No. 220 overall (compensatory)
  8. Round 6, No. 221 overall (compensatory)
  9. Round 7, No. 262 overall (compensatory)

For those not quite familiar, compensatory selections are typically awarded for teams suffering a net loss of qualifying free agents, although the Niners were awarded comp picks for other teams hiring away minority coaching candidates, which is the case for this year’s Round 3 pick.
