NFL Draft Pick No. 24: Dallas Cowboys – Tyler Linderbaum, Center, Iowa

The Dallas Cowboys once had a fearsome offensive line, but that’s no more with the departure of tackle La’el Collins and guard Connor Williams. The Cowboys need to bolster the line, and the addition of Tyler Linderbaum would allow Tyler Biadasz to shift to guard himself.

Linderbaum is easily the best center in this draft class and one of the types of interior offensive linemen similar to Johnson where you can just plug and play him in Week 1.

Iowa has a good record of churning out good offensive linemen for the NFL Draft, and it did a good job with Linderbaum here, giving him a good skill set to succeed at the next level.

Linderbaum isn’t versatile like some other linemen in this mock, lacking the length needed to play guard in the NFL, but if you play him at center he does his job nicely. He isn’t the strongest ever, but he performs his role nicely with good hand placement and enough leverage to move him around.

The key is that Linderbaum seldom makes a mistake. He’s a high-IQ player with excellent technique, and he’ll perform his role every Sunday.
