No. 3 prospect 49ers don’t want to see in NFC West: LB Devin Lloyd, Utah
While Christian Harris could easily be a thorn in the side of the Niners, or any other NFC West team that doesn’t draft him for that matter, Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd is certainly a much stronger and more enticing prospect to watch.
Likely a first-round pick, San Francisco won’t get its hands on him, and it wouldn’t have to worry about the Rams doing the same either.
However, both the Cardinals and Seahawks could certainly be in play, and there’s also an outside chance Lloyd winds up being selected in the top 10.
Would Seattle make someone like Lloyd, who had 111 total tackles, seven sacks and four interceptions last year, its Round 1 selection at No. 9 overall?
Possibly.
Lloyd is certainly a defensive building block for any team looking for a cornerstone, and that’s why he’d be such a threat to the rest of the NFC West if a team like the Seahawks grab him.
Especially if Lloyd winds up adequately filling the void left by Bobby Wagner, who tormented the 49ers for his entire career.
