Raheem Mostert: 5 best landing spots for 49ers free-agent running back

Raheem Mostert Landing Spot No. 2: Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are surely one of the more intriguing destinations for pending free agents this offseason, especially contingent upon which head coach they elect to bring aboard to replace the recently fired Brian Flores.
Flores’ offense in 2021 nevertheless finished third worst in the NFL on the ground last year with 1,568 rush yards, and the need to find an upgrade over pending free-agent runners like Duke Johnson and Phillip Lindsay should be one of the many priorities for the new regime.

That said, and especially if Miami is able to find a bona fide upgrade over quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (if it goes that route), could make the Dolphins playoff contenders again after such a strong finish to the regular season.
Again, so much of this is dependent upon the coaching hire, yet the Dolphins do have enough of a roster to make a player like Raheem Mostert more of a complementary piece instead of someone around whom Miami would have to build its offense.
Based on the teamwide results from 2021, it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out an upgrade.
