NFL power rankings: Where Jimmy Garoppolo, remaining playoff QBs rank in divisional round

NFL Power Rankings No. 1: Tom Brady, Buccaneers
Depite all of Patrick Mahomes’ show-off moments during the Wild Card round, there’s still one quarterback who holds all the cards in our NFL power rankings.
Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.
Granted, Brady wasn’t exactly dominant when the Bucs upended Mahomes and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV a season ago, rather Tampa Bay’s pass rush simply overwhelmed a suspect Kansas City offensive line.
Nevertheless, it’s wholly impossible to overlook Brady’s postseason résumé, which now includes 35 playoff victories, more than all but two NFL franchises, the Patriots (37) and Steelers (36).
This, after the Buccaneers dominated the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round with Brady going 29-of-37 for 271 yards, two touchdowns against zero interceptions and posting a passer rating of 115.2.
Too easy.
Despite all the challenges Tampa Bay has faced this season, from wide receiver Antonio Brown’s drama to fellow wideout Chris Godwin’s season-ending ACL tear, Brady is still the bedrock of the success the Buccaneers have had for 2021.
And, as the age-old lesson continues to play itself out, teams can never count Brady out of the running until he’s officially out.
