49ers New Years Resolution No. 2: San Francisco will sweep Seahawks in 2022

Never before has the time been ripe for the Niners to switch the narrative with their archrivals in the NFC West, the Seattle Seahawks, who have almost entirely owned San Francisco dating back to 2012.

Save for a handful of regular-season wins here and there, including that monumental one at the conclusion of the 2019 regular season.

The Hawks are likely to go through a massive restructuring this offseason, one which could potentially include parting ways with head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Russell Wilson, ending an era every 49ers fan would love to see come to a close.

That era has seen Seattle win 16 of 18 regular-season games and one NFC Championship bout, and the Niners haven’t swept a season series against the Seahawks since 2011.

It’s time for that streak to come to a close.

2022 should mark the year San Francisco surges atop Seattle for the long run, ensuring the next decade in the rivalry will feature one of 49ers dominance and not having to hear all those 12s brag about how many losses the Niners have had against the Hawks over the last 10 years.
