No. 3: Trey Lance must improve his throwing mechanics

Trey Lance was touted as somewhat of a project by most draft scouts coming into the 2021 NFL Draft, mostly because teams felt while his athletic abilities are off the charts, he can improve in certain technical areas, mainly his throwing mechanics.

While Lance is by no means a poor passer of the football and owns a canon of an arm, his accuracy can be sometimes shotty, which is displayed by his currently low sub-55 percent completion percentage in his limited action this season.

This can obviously be improved on and should be one of Lance’s main points of focus as he prepares to take over the quarterback reins. It will take some time, but if Lance can improve his current percentage to about 63 percent, he will be a literal nightmare to deal with.

Look for Lance and Kyle Shanahan to try and improve the quarterback’s mechanics any way they can to be able to improve this aspect of Lance’s game.

Not just for the rest of 2021 but especially beyond.
