No. 3: Nick Bosa will record 3 sacks on Ryan Tannehill

There may be plenty of X-factors and unknowns leading into Thursday night’s contest, but if there’s one advantage San Francisco will look to fully exploit, it’s the pass-rushing prowess of EDGE Nick Bosa.

Bosa, whose 15 sacks are tied for second most in the league behind Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt (17.5), is atop the discussion for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and no amount of non-called holding penalties have slowed him down.

Sure, the Titans have protected quarterback Ryan Tannehill‘s blind side adequately enough this season with left tackle Taylor Lewan, but he’s out with an injury, as is offensive guard Rodger Saffold, and the right side of the offensive line with tackle David Quessenberry is an absolute liability.

To date, Quessenberry has allowed a whopping 11 sacks and 41 quarterback pressures on 542 pass-blocking snaps, per Pro Football Focus, meaning Bosa should have plenty of chances to chase down Tannehill and bring him down.

Of note, Tannehill has been sacked 12 times over the last four weeks, including four sacks in each of his last two games.

While Bosa alone might not be able to reach that total, let’s at least look for him to completely overpower Tennessee’s offensive line en route to a three-sack performance in Nashville, the city in which the 49ers drafted him.
