No. 2: Nick Bosa will net 49ers 2-plus sacks on Joe Burrow

The only quarterback who has been sacked more times this season than Joe Burrow is the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, currently 37 times to 36. And in the one-sided loss to the Chargers a week ago, Cincinnati watched its second-year signal-caller sacked a whopping six times.

In fact, Burrow has been sacked five or more times in four games this season already, meaning Sunday’s bout against the 49ers presents a juicy opportunity for EGDE Nick Bosa.

Bosa, Burrow’s former teammate when they both were at Ohio State, prior to the quarterback’s transfer to LSU, is looking forward to meeting his old friend, telling 49ers Webzone the following:

"We just spent a lot of time together that second year and became friends, then he left and I got drafted. We both had success, and that kind of brings you together, too, as friends — when you’re both on the same path, similar path. … Yeah, he’s a good friend of mine and I definitely want to hit him a few times."

Bosa currently leads the Niners with 12 sacks and also leads the NFL with 16 tackles for a loss.

And while the Niners haven’t received a ton of complementary pass-rush production behind Bosa, the questionable nature of Cincy’s offensive line should open up plenty of chances for the third-year pass-rusher to enjoy a multi-sack day on Sunday.
