49ers @ Rams, Week 18

Some may argue the Bengals deserve to be ranked higher than the No. 1 team on our NFL power rankings list of San Francisco’s remaining opponents, the Los Angeles Rams. Heck, by the way the 49ers have played the Rams in recent years, perhaps even the Titans should be higher.

Sure, the Niners are to the Rams as what the Seahawks are to San Francisco, while Los Angeles has its way over Seattle at will. There’s your NFC West storyline.

The 49ers may have temporarily broke the Rams during quite the upset win back in Week 10, and that forced what turned into a shocking three-game Los Angeles losing streak, only stopped when head coach Sean McVay’s squad walloped the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.

Not hard to do that this season.

The Rams’ upcoming stretch of games isn’t easy, though, despite the recent win and 8-4 record with the NFL’s No. 6-ranked offense entering Week 14. McVay and Co. get to travel to take on the 10-2 Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, then have to “avenge” the Niners’ loss to the Seahawks a week later before back-to-back road games against two desperate teams, the Vikings and Baltimore Ravens, and then finally looking to end the losing streak to San Francisco to close out the rest of the season.

That’ll say a lot about just how good Los Angeles is this season. But when the Rams are firing on all cylinders, they’re still the division’s most complete team.
