The 49ers won’t have to worry about bad NFL weather conditions when they host the visiting Vikings at Levi’s Stadium in Week 12.

San Francisco 49ers fans can certainly feel pretty good about their tailgating prospects ahead of the Week 12 home matchup against the visiting Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

If anything, the torrential downpour of rain and heavy winds that all but demolished the Niners’ hopes for a victory against the Indianapolis Colts way back in Week 7 seem like a distant memory, even though those kinds of storms are usually reserved for later in the winter.

Instead, Week 12 is going to feel much more like a late-summer/early fall kind of game instead of anything winter-ish.

NFL weather for 49ers vs. Vikings should be ideal

The forecast for Sunday’s contest between the 5-5 Niners and 5-5 Vikings will be ideal, both for gameplay and for tailgating conditions.

The temperature at kickoff is predicted to be 69 degrees, while there will only be north-northwesterly winds of just 2 miles per hour, so neither team’s kicking games should be affected much, if at all. And no paper plates flying off tables pregame either.

Humidity is never a major problem in northern California anyway, and the forecast is calling for clear skies with just 35 percent humidity.

Both teams are squarely in the playoff hunt, although Minnesota holds the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoff picture, while San Francisco is at No. 8 despite both teams having identical records. That’s due to both teams’ conference records, however, so the Vikings currently hold the tiebreaker there.

With a win, however, the Niners could essentially create a two-game lead over Minnesota in the standings, both by moving ahead by one game and holding the higher-tier tiebreaker of head-to-head record.

So, as fans are probably still munching on Thanksgiving leftovers, they can also take comfort in knowing Sunday’s game will feature both perfect weather for the fall and the perfect conditions for another San Francisco victory at home.

Both teams kick off at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
