START EM: 49ers Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel

This was almost too obvious, but you need to start star wideout Deebo Samuel. He has been one of the most electric players in the NFL to date this season and has been putting the league on notice.

Samuel flashed his rookie year and had the media classifying him as one of the most dangerous yards-after-the-catch kings of the NFL. A lot of fans were excited for him to take the next step in his sophomore year, but Samuel unfortunately experienced a Jones fracture in his foot and was forced to miss a large chunk of the 2020 season.

Samuel did return to action in 2020, but seemed limited and unlike his rookie self, while only playing a total of seven games.

Fast forward to this year, and Samuel is looking like one of the league’s best wide receivers. Currently, he sits at No. 5 on the NFL receiving yards list with 548 yards through the air, and that includes the 49ers’ Week 6 bye.

Samuel has clearly taken the next step in his development, and has shown his ability to make wildly contested catches, and has optimized his ability to high point the ball. He is looking like the complete package at wide receiver, who also possesses elite yards-after-the-catch ability.

It’s no secret Samuel is as dangerous as they come after the catch, and will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

You need to start Samuel for the remainder of the season as a surefire WR1.
