49ers Round 5 Rookie: S Talanoa Hufanga

The young-but-effective rookie safety, Talanoa Hufanga, was a preseason difference-maker, and while he hasn’t seen much regular-season action, he can absolutely act as a depth piece for years to come with this Niners team.

Potentially more, depending on what San Francisco decides to do with its current strong safety, Jaquiski Tartt, who’ll be a free agent next year.

Hufanga clearly has a strong pass-rushing and hit-stick ability, and he can be a difference-maker in this league if he continues to grow as a pass defender as well.

Hufanga’s stock is definitely ON THE RISE for us, and he can be classified as a stud. His lack of play isn’t due to his abilities but rather the fact that the team already has Tartt in play for now.

Hopefully, Hufanga continues to impress and breaks out at some point this season.
