No. 5: 49ers’ injury curse will not go away

At this point, every option needs to be considered as to how the 49ers can somehow absolve themselves of what simply has to be a curse put upon them.

With the number of injuries piling up, hiring a witch doctor to perform a ceremony doesn’t seem to be too big a step to take.

This week, the injuries were to cornerbacks Josh Norman and K’Waun Williams. Norman had to go to the hospital after coughing up blood, while Williams left with a calf injury.

Surprisingly, Norman seems to have the less serious injury and has a chance to play the Seahawks on Sunday. Williams will be out for a few weeks, but at least it isn’t a season-ending injury.

However, the cornerback position has now gotten even thinner and that presents a big problem for the team.

Any more injuries in general and especially at cornerback, and the team may very well be in panic mode.

For now, the challenge for the team is how to keep winning games while waiting for the team’s key players to return to the field.
