49ers vs. Chargers: Winners, losers from preseason Week 2 win

49ers Loser: Tight End MyCole Pruitt
Another player who possibly played his way out of a Niners uniform is reserve tight end MyCole Pruitt.
Known for his above-average blocking skills and modest prowess as a receiving target, Pruitt was originally brought in during the offseason to compete with second-year pro tight end Charlie Worner, potentially offering up an upgrade as a pass-catching weapon.
Except Pruitt was sidelined in preseason Week 1 with an injury and only made his San Francisco debut against Los Angeles.
Unfortunately for Pruitt, that didn’t go so well.
Pruitt was flagged twice for offensive holding, one penalty wiping out what would have been a 15-yard first-down gain by running back Wayne Gallman.
Kyle Shanahan could theoretically keep four tight ends on the 53-man roster. But with George Kittle and Ross Dwelley having all but secured spots, there would be a maximum of two left between Pruitt, Woerner and the converted wide receiver, Jordan Matthews.
As of now, Pruitt looks like the odd man out.
